helper's salary

wondering what the range of salaries is for a domestic worker with about 10 years of experience there.

seems our domestic helper may need a little convincing to move to hk with us from singapore. we have not told her yet that it is a possibility, just been casually conversing.she's concerned about crime, pollution, and loss of her social circle....and she's a little set in her ways.

Ranges around 3.2(min) to about 5-6K on the high side for someone with specialist skills or long term being factored in.

The numbers you are quoting, are those in US$ or HK$ ? I suspect US$ due to the fact moving is involved etc., but just wish to be 100% certain.

Er, no - they are in HK$ per month. HK$3260 is the legal minimum, plus accommodation (DHs must live in), food, health insurance, flight home, etc..
