    New to Causeway Bay

    Hey all,

Moving into my new place in CWB and would like to know if any of you could share the name of their favorite places there.

I'm referring to local restaurants, bar, venues with rooftops, shops with foreign food, lounge bars to chill, Brunch cafes and any other places you like to take your friends to or have you bit of me-time.

Anything to help settling in is welcome and msg me if up for drinks.

    Cheers

I like the vietnamese place on tung lung st (behind times square) it's decent... you can try club 28 at the crowne plaza or mamoz for patio with a view.. there's habitu at lee garden which is nice and quiet for patio as is hooray at world trade center (although service sucks).. you can try inside out or dickens for a casual bar

go to slices on caroline hill for NYC style pizza and burger room for a good burger... you can also venture out to tai hang to check out the little cafes..

Oyster Bar at kingston street has some pretty good western seafood. That sidesteet (pedestrian-only) has many restuarants and eateries. Some tables are placed onto the steet and gives an alright atomsphere.

Is it difficult to get by in Causeway Bay using English or Mandarin ? I had a brief visit to CWB last summer, and went to the Spaghetti place right by Times Square and it seemed like noone could speak English (didn't try Mandarin).

I'll be back in August for the month, hopefully I'll pick up some Canto while I'm there this time.

Not really, English should be fine. If you go to a restaurant and don't see an English menu, just ask them. Most places will have one, try to learn the names of a few food items so you can order food on the rare occasion that they don't have an English menu (or go to a different place)

City Super (bottom of Times Square) has a lot of food options, while they aren't the best it's a good place for new people to get food while they take their time exploring CWB.

    Best of luck

Inn Side out (East End Brewery) -

Great place for beers in particular, and the food is good! They have rack of ribs, pizza, etc and im pretty sure they double fry there potato chips which are rather awesome! Always very busy though, so be warned that you may have to wait in a que unless you book a table in advance.

Theres so many places in CWB considering its not the biggest of places. I'd recommend just going round trying your luck with different places and 9/10 times im sure you wont be disappointed.
