I'm not a RE agent but wouldn't one need to be resourceful, able to generate ideas for leads, take initiative...yadda, yadda... are you sure this is the right career for you? have you done an internet search (in english) for possible places, names...

    what random said.

you are really asking for names of agencies?

anyway, I know several foreigners working in real estate in Hk and China. Yes, mostly commercial - savills, hines, etc.

Thanks. Searching Google was the first attempt. One would suggest that tapping into the best known forum for expats in a foreign country would be showing initiative ... yadda, yadda ... and narrowing the search with the help of locals will make the process quicker. In fact someone on this forum may be or know of a company that need an Native English Speaking Real Estate Agent.

Well by the time you wait for someone to tell you someone else has probably already taken it. This is HK!

While you're asking where's this and that, someone has already stole your client, sold the flat, undercut you, over sold you.............

What I'm trying to say is RE in HK is very cut throat from what I've seen.

Thanks. So is every city and job in the world. Hong Kong Real Estate Agents have work rules also. There will be agencies that would like a Native English Speaking Agent or specialise in this area for residential sales. I am neither afraid of the the competition nor negative regarding my prospects.

You could consider some of the major serviced apartment / office companies, they have Western speaking sales staff.

Btw when doing searches in google from non HK locations (ie UK) don't forget to change to google.com.hk. You will get more HK based search results that way and a larger outlet to locally sourced info. Although remember that many sites do zero SEO so you really have to look hard for keywords. Finally, it's good to search using common terms in British & US English. Again, you'll get varied results. Happy hunting
