    Heck, when I first arrived in Hong Kong, you could go from Central to Kowloon Tong with a $20 note.


    And still have change to buy a real loaf of bread. (Just for us older Brits)

    say back in the day when we first had the tunnel in the 70's. if toll is $5 and the meter started at $5, thats $15 for the first 2 km. assume 30c per every 200m, i cant imagine there is much bread from the change. are you sure you were not riding in a rickshaw?
