Well I guess we foreigners will always be stuck with a mountain of used passports, however as Larac says the Mainland guys will fit as many stamps as they can on a page...
... my biggest bugbear about the whole immigration thing is the forms (Especially the HK one). Is the data we have to write on them really neccessary over what is available when the passports are machine read?
Do they serve any purpose?

pickpockets are prevalent in Shenzhen, all expats need to be careful.

Pickpockets and bag thief's are prevalent in Wanchai, LKF and Central shopping areas. ( see previous posts ). So Shenzhen is any different ?
Actually yes, if you get caught stealing a bag in Shenzhen ( from a motorbike ) they take you away and stick a bullet in your head. Here the police don't really care and all you get is paperwork and if caught the guy gets a fine or sent back over the border. Speaking from bitter experience on behalf of my wife.
So I repeat - WTF was the purpose of that ???

Transportation-wise I was talking about both bus and kcr/mtr.
The mainland side just did away with the health declaration form that foreigners had to fill out.
