travelling from Guangzhou to HK with a large bag

    Hi guys,

I am visiting a factory and picking up a large item or two (a bit bigger than checked-in luggage for air travel) from said factory in Guangzhou. I would like to come back to Hong Kong with the item. I think a car (limo, miniva) service from Guangzhou to HK will be convenient, but they are all too expensive -- I don't mind spending around HKD1000, but seems like many companies are asking for far more. What are your suggestions? Should I just go with the train travel, which may not be ideal due to large heavy boxes?

    Thanks a lot.

You can take as 'luggage consignment' on the MTR, with taxis either end.

And take along a wheeled trolley too, if I were you.

Where in GZ - it's such a huge city! If the factory is down towards Panyu, it might make more sense to take a ferry back, checking in the luggage as freight.

The hung Hon to gz east express have a checked baggage service. So you really only need to get your packages from the factory to gz east station . The last limo I got from Hong Kong to gz was closer to 1700one way few years ago now
