Seeking workday carpool from SZ to HK

My boyfriend and I live in Shenzhen - close to the Luohu border. I've recently been offered a job in the Cheung Sha Wan area. The bus/metro/bus commute is murder. Anyone else making this trip daily? I don't even need to be dropped in Cheung Sha Wan. Any MTR or relatively close bus stop would work. Of course, I'd happily pay carpool/petrol charges and fees.

    Thanks!

    That's a horrid commute!
Out of interest how many hours a day do you spend travelling? My first thought would be to move to HK especially if the work is long term.

I think you might have more luck on a local forum than an expat one.

A bus via the Route 3 tunnel could be an option too. Still........

I'm curious what sort of visas / immigration status you have in China & HK which allows you to do that? I wouldn't want the hassle of being asspciated with you if you were pulled for immigration offences while travelling with me.

I reckon she must have PR. But I'm surprised she posted here rather than on a local forum, considering it would be easier to find a local person living across the border doing that run, than an expat with PR. Never mind the limits on having the permission to do so.

The job that is offered in HK, did they get you a proper visa, your passport will fill up very quickly with all the immigration chops you get every day. You are better off moving to HK if you can get the proper visa, visit your BF on weekends

Lo Wu to Cheung Sha Wan by MTR aprox 51 minutes, 2 train changes involved. Get prepared to be squashed like a sardine

I did this commute for many years and still do it often .we have a flat in lo Wu village .if you get to the border at 630prompt you will be across very fast and on the first or second train out :get the first class carriage and nap till kowloon tong :forget lok ma jau by car I tried that and there are often horrendous and unpredictable hold ups :
