Hi,
I am about to finish university and would like to work in the charity sector in Hong Kong. I can't afford to volunteer and can't speak any Chinese languages so I realise it isn't very hopeful. Anybody got any advice?
Thanks very much,
Stu

Hi
I assume you are looking for "paid" charity work ... its hard without local language skills but you could try the following organizations
- Worldvision HKG
- Oxfam
- Unicef
- WWF
Another idea (if you are a native english speaker) is to try to get a job as a English language teacher ... they are in great demand here and across China in fact.
Also good to analyse if there are any specific skills you can offer ... that will help you do a more targeted search.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the suggestions. I've worked as an english teacher before and that is always an option but I'd rather have a go at something different.
How much is the average a native speaker can earn teaching english in HK?
