    you are indeed correct as the locals tend to use yahoo forums to chat about stuff thus it would be easy for a reader of chinese to find out.

    On some topics yes there is some info but the locals tend to be very conservative with their posts, quite frequently they won't mention a company, service provider publicly who they have had poor experiences (more likely to tell you only if you email them or know them personally), this was not the case in the US where people tend to be more vocal and specific about what was wrong in their blogs. I realise that it is a cultural thing, I get the same thing from my parents but it is still frustrating nonethe less.
