    In Shenzhen, apparently.

I've only once witnessed hail in Hong Kong and that was decades ago.

We already had hail earlier this year in Yuen Long. During a black rainstorm.

Probably....I would love to see it again, it's quite amazing, especially the big stuff.

Strong gusts of wind is now blowing at my place, signalling arrival of thunderstorms pretty soon. Good thing I just got home. I got no umbrella to protect me, although I suppose in a torrential downpour with strong gust of wind, an umbrella won't do much good anyway.

Wow, the rain is really coming down hard now with lightning and thunder. Fascinating to watch, not so good for the airport though, I'm listening to ATC and flight delays expected as the air field is shut for 15 mins, with plenty of flight deviations.

Update: Listening to live atc, they are issuing weather warnings, some airports in the Pearl River Delta cannot accept diversion (diverted flights) because of the large extent of these thunderstorms. Some pilots are requesting new alternates.

Pilots are now requesting switch of landing direction due to wind direction.

Interesting to listen ATC whenever there is bad weather.
