Whats the chances of an Aussie girl meeting a nice expat...

HI! I'm a 37 year old Australian female seriously considering moving to Hong Kong in the coming months... I am told that expat males do not generally partner up with fellow expats.

Is this true or a tale? Would love to hear from those who have experienced meeting expats and the partnership/relationship you have had with them... Australians or Kiwis in particular...

Hey I'd meet up with you but to answer your question HK (and Singapore) has a fair mix of expats. Some think the sun shines out of their you-know-whats and some are fresh first-timers who have never left their home country. Avoid the bars and you should be safe.

Actually, I have only known ONE person of all my Australian friends and relatives who met their future partner/spouse in a bar. "At work" would be the majority of people! Followed by "friend of a friend/friend introduced us".
