    Kwai Chung?

    Hi all,

will be moving to HK end of June. My flat will be in Kwai Chung(Kwai Luen Road). Is that a nice area to live?
…and how is the public transport to HK-Island there? ..the office is at Central

By the way, a great site this forum, learned already a lot about HK

hello.. kwai chung is quite far from the hk island.. but i think the rent is quite cheap there... its the industrial & residential area... the main transportation to central is subway.. called the MTR.. usually takes 30-40 min..

It is not the best part of HK to live in and you will not find tons of expats there but its OK. I have several Austrian friends living in this area and they like it. They work in the area so its very convenient.

If you have a choice you should consider other parts of Kowloon.

    Good Luck
