Finding e-commerce / marketplace or wholesale job

My brother wants to land a job in HK in the field of (1) e-commerce marketplace or (2) wholesale. He has a lot of experience in these areas, including promoting major e-commerce marketplaces in his region/ training staff / SEO / product launch / advertising etc.

But he doesn't know Cantonese (and Mandarin) and is not a native English speaker. However, he speaks and writes fluently in English and Spanish, and he is a native Russian / Belarusian speaker (if that matters). Does he stand a chance with the current trend of compulsory knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin? Maybe there are some recommendations on where to start? I just want to help him. Thanks

Is it realistic at all?.. Maybe some areas where non-Canto/Mandarin speaker is luckier? He can consider side areas

Your best bets are looking for import / export firms that are actively trading in Spanish, Russian speaking markets.

Trade Development Council used to have databases of these sort of companies. Or become good friends with the trade/commerce attaches at the consulates..

Worth approaching these sort of companies... needless to say, much better if the brother is physically here.

(Have heard anecdotally that meat trade is ongoing...)

On the other hand, there is always a niche market for SEO / online branding etc for niche sellers / producers in HK who are targeting EU markets like Amazon - don't know if those jobs are here or in China to be honest. Know an American who is doing well helping mainland companies sell their stuff on ebay / amazon in the US - but they speak Mandarin.

Thanks! Actually, he's coming to Hong Kong for at least one month as a tourist. So maybe he'll have a chance to physically visit those companies from the TDC. Let's see if he can find anything during 30 days..
