    Hiring a FDH from Singapore

I was wondering if anyone knows how to hire a FDH who is currently residing in Singapore. We lived there a while back and would like to reemploy her in Hong Kong. Would it be best to hire direct or ask and agent to do so? Also, I noticed on some sites that it takes up to 6 weeks to complete the immigration process - is this about right?

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

As she's worked for you before, you should be able to do a Direct Hire and not have to go thru an agency. Simply pick up the FDH contract from immigration, get all the supporting documents. First you'll need to submit the papers to the helper's consulate for approval. Then take them to immigration. The whole process does take about 6-weeks.
