    My new bike was stolen

It was locked in front of the building where I live. It is not expensive, but it is brand new. I still believe HK is a safe place. But these petty crimes are really annoying. I guess that's why every flat has a steel door here.

What did you use to lock it- a chain, or a good d-lock? Chain-type locks are incredibly easy to get through.

yes. I asked the doorman. Although the land belongs to ( or is maintained by ?) the government, I am allowed to park there. Another bike parked next to mine. That bike is still there.

chain-type lock. The bike only costs $530. I didn't think a thief would bother to steal it.
