i dont want to do internet searches, cause i can do that from the states.

does anyone know some good realtors in the kowloon TST area to find cheapish housing? when i say cheapish, i am trying to stay under 10 or 12 K.

    thanks

and im not asking for locations of apartments, im asking for location of realtors that may help me...possibly speak english

I live there and like it alot. All the service you need, and it's clean. On the downside (personally, counting it at the upside) there is no MTR here.

Still, very easy to go to central by with the (nice) star ferry.

Yeah I live in Laguna Verde and it's a pain without an MTR station. I'm thinking of moving to a place that has one. What's the word on getting some sort of rail transit built at Whampoa Gardens?

and how far to the nearest MTR station?

and lastly....is it possible to get a decent place for 10K?
it doesnt have to be a players paradise, but it shouldnt be a cockroach infested hole in the basement either.....

10k is ok for an apartment.

Usually I just grab a cab to TST (15 hkd) or take the minibus (4-8hkd).
Works very well. Sometimes I do miss the MTR, but considering I
like the area so much this is just a minor nuisance.

I have a cousin as I started in other threads who lives and owns a real estate company in Happy Valley for over 15 years. Last time I stayed at one of the flats she managed and I was quite nice. The only drawback is there isn’t MTR access there. You have to take a cab or the tram to get to Wan Chai first. But air is cleaner and the neighborhood is much more upper scale. After I left, it was rented out for $7000 HK a month. That’s was last year though. It’s about 480 sf but it’s Happy Valley. If you need her phone, try to find it in previous threads I posted, or post you request again.

You might want to try looking for flats in the Austin Road area of TST. There are a few agents around there and you might find something in your budget. Whampoa is great but not as convenient as TST proper.
