    70k HKD / month enough ?

    Hi,

I have offered a position in IT business in HK with the package including monthly salary of 70k + 20k housing. I have 15 years experience on this area of work. Is this in line with current expat salaries in HK ?

    Cheers,
    Theo

If you can't live well on that much then you need therapy.

You might have to stop buying silk toilet paper imported from France, but otherwise you should be OK.

As someone who is self-employed, so do I!

Come on, rub our noses in it a bit more...

If you are relocating overseas I would suggest it makes sense to see if your potential employer is making a reasonable offer.

without knowing anymore about you, it's very difficult to say whether it will be enough.

if you have a wife, 4 kids(in school), 5 dogs... it may not be. if, however, you are single (or married with 2 kids) it should be no problem.
