Any one live at La Maison du Nord in Kennedy town? The pictures look great, but I want to know the reality. Thanks!

Thumbs up La Maison Du Nord

Yes, I live there currently. I like the place. Quiet and convenient. The building is quite new and clean. If you don't require a very big place, then I would recommend staying here. I've looked a other places which were bigger, but what made me decide on the unit was just the cleanliness/new building. Its got three units per flat, and the building has two modern lifts. The watchmen are quite nice and friendly. There's a welcome grocery right in front of the building which is very convenient, and if you can't find what you need there, there's two park&shop and two other welcome groceries/superstores nearby. I guess the only negatives for me are:
    1. No MTR (which is good in a way - it keeps the area less commercial/congested)
    2. The water dripping down from my upper floor neighbor's aircon that hits my room's metal aircon frame can be very irritating!!! Something like a leaky faucet which you can't turn off in the middle of the night!

Complain to the management. There might be some govt regulations which protect you.

I know our management takes leaking aircons very seriously and sends us a number of brochures before summer begins, to get the air cons fixed.

The last time the had the public view their plans, the bus and the minibus companies protested against this saying that their livelihoods will be affected. The MTR, probably scared off by bad publicity, had put off the proposal "indefinitely" as a result!

True Max, but this week MTR has been discussing how they will implement high speed lifts in the Pokfulam station at HKU, so it sounds like its a go again....who knows
