i can see a few + in getting a SAR passport
1. there are 134 countries allowing the HKSAR passport holder to gain visa-free access
2. many countries these days recognise dual nationality/citizenship and they will try to help you if you get into trouble in china (of course you should be very careful not to violate the "laws" in china)
3. you have 2 countries to choose from if you need help in other countries
4. if you were captured by the Al-Qaeda there is a lower chance of being another beheaded victim
