PDLM, in that thread you mention that Seven Seas' depot is in Shenzen. Does this mean if I use their "door-to-depot" service, I would have to make arrangements to get the boxes from Shenzen to HK?

To be honest, I'm not sure since I have used their door-to-door service. The simple answer is to ring the people at ADC Global Logistics whose contacts I gave in that thread and ask them - they are very friendly on the phone and fairly quick to respond to email, particularly this agent: yueely.ho <AT> hkg.adc-global.com
Here's their FAQ:

As is typical with the majority of courier/shipping cos. door to depot (or port) means they deliver to the airport only. You will have to go to the airport to organise customs clearance (pay a customs charge, if any) and pick up the goods yourself.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences.Originally Posted by lowlight:
However, Express is not an option for me. I guess I will go with the old trusty USPS and go with the long boat trip to Hong Kong. I think it will cost me about me about $80 dollars for a 45 lb parcel, but it will take about a month or so to get there.
Thanks,

Yup that's the other option. I needed my stuff right away though, or I would have done the same.Originally Posted by illbback:
