    Renting a Post Office Box

    Hi,

I live in Shenzhen and would like to rent a Post Office Box in Hong Kong, is this possible and does anyone know where?

Annual rental costs vary depending on which Post Office you choose. The larger post offices charge more. There are two sizes of box. Last I looked the small box would cost you HKD270 to 500, large box HKD320 to 650.

hong kong post office, by the star ferry pier in central, there's thousands of boxes for rent. don't know if you need to be a resident tho.

or you could use a serviced office service, which would give you and address in hong kong and forward your mail/faxes to you- if there's a lot or it's regular, it might work out cheaper then coming into hong kong to pick it up. but i don't know if you have to be a registered company or not to use these?

The form to apply is here: http://www.hongkongpost.com/eng/forms/pdf/pos807.pdf but at a quick glance it does seem to be the case that you need a HKID to apply...

Nomad if that is indeed the case, you can alternatively have one of the many business centers around town receive mail for you. Alternatively, if you want supplements, you can give me cash in USD or RMB and I'd be happy to order em for you....

Thanks all, my problem lies in the fact that I am currently on month #1 of a 6 month single entry business visa so, I can't go to HK like I used too . I only need it for getting things from the USA (i.e supplements and clothing), the last package I had sent here took almost 3 months to get here and it was only a pair of Levi's and a Sweatshirt
