    Hi,

i went to Mission Hills last week to check if i want to become a member. The golf club itself is very nice, very big, very nice spa and pool.

However my main concern is the time to get there. I did choose their door to door service with a private car which is $1.800 for a round trip and it took me 1:45 hours to go there and nearly 3 to go back!

No way. I can fly to Bangkok in 2 hours and play great golf for less money and for $1.800 i can even get a business ticket to go to BKK.

Seems that playing golf near HK is either too high priced or too far away.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Check out the Sand River Golf Course, it's just cross the border. You can get there in no time.

    okay, thanks

The reason I asked is because I work with a factory in Eastern Shenzhen about an hour outside of the city. I need someplace to stay and thought of Mission Hills. Looks to be in the sam vicinity. So i thought maybe I can combine work and a spa weekend or something.

Hey, if you live China side that should be no issue. You can get there quickly.

The problem is from HK side because of the border and the associated traffic ... .

    Thanks,

    Hi Marusm,

    Check it out http://www.srgc.cn/english/index.htm
if you live on HK Island, there's a direct bus from Wanchai takes you across the border to Huang Gang, then I usually call a private car to pick me up from there to the Golf Club. It takes around 40 mins by bus, plus another 10 mins by car, but it hardly cost you anything.

    Markusm,

We play at the Chung Shan Golf.

    http://www.cshsgc.com.cn/index.php?lg=en

It is also around 1hour 45 minues, via ferry and car.
Less crowded, the course is the 1st golf course in china.

Doing a day trip might be too tight. so we normally spend
a weekend and have 2 rounds

We always play there so if anyone wants to try it out, let PM me.
