    Sunday roast

Although I've lived in Hong Kong for two years and love Chinese food, and Asian food in general, I find myself longing for a good old fashioned English Sunday roast, i.e. roast beef, or lamb, or chicken, with all the gweilo vegetables. Does anybody know of any restaurant I could get this? Presumably, most of the large hotels would have it as part of their buffet - in fact, I think I've had it at the Ritz Carlton.

Just feeling a bit nostalgic today and, short of going back to the UK especially, wondered if anybody knew?

Also, can you get English style cakes anywhere? I find the sort of sponge cakes they have here are far too light and lacking 'body' - for want of a better word. What about Madeira cakes and fruit cakes - I suppose Olivers?

Jimmy's Kitchen does close to the kind of food you are after or you could try Mr Chippy on Pottinger Street.

I feel for you because there really aren't many places that do that food well here.

    Try Delaney's maybe?

Good luck......many of us miss good ol Mexican and tex mex too.
