    Ants in village house

We've just moved to a village house and there are a lot of ants coming in. How can I stop them? Bought ant powder but not working.

hair spray and a lighter LOL.

Find the source and put ant powder their, also look at where they are coming in, spray some bug spray there.

    Talcum powder.

Put it around the areas they are coming into your village house.

Bait, lots of it. You're never going to get anywhere just killing the workers. You need to get them to take the poison back to the hive.

Keep everything edible in tupperware tubs and learn to live with the ants. They were there first.

Ok then, try boracic acid powder scattered along their usual trail but definitely find out where they're coming in from first and concentrate on that spot.

You could also try making a new trail for them to follow with sugary coffee and lead them back outside again. Sugar because they're sweet toothed and coffee because apparently it mimics the chemicals ants lay down to follow a trail. Never tried this technique and don't vouch for it, but if you have kids it may be a nice weekend project!

Or just live and let live? Ants don't do any harm. Keeping all food under wraps is a good habit anyway.
