Kite Surfing - courses in HK?

    Hi,

waiting for the typoons and therefore want to be prepared: want to learn Kite Surfing. Does anybody knows where I can rent a kite & board and learn it....?

Is there a school offering courses / clinics?

Thank you and see you the summer out on the water.

    Here's the windsurfer instructors database.

    http://www.windsurfing.org.hk/traini...DATA170703.pdf

    More information on http://www.windsurfing.org.hk/news/enews.htm

Best bets are to try calling the instructors.

By the way.. I do know people who used to co-ordinate / were involved with people doing rescues in typhoons and they're adopting a policy where they're not going to risk their rescue crew's lives to save yours.

perhaps something you don't know? i did see a van in Hong Kong with a logo for "double loop" advertising kite surfing, but i can't find any reference on the 'net or in phone directories. anybody know?

Thanks for your feedback! Will get in contact with the surf-instructors.
And yes, I'm coming also from Windsurfing but bringing all the material to Hong Kong and store it would be realy a big effort.

By the way: I planned to stay at home while typhoons...

    name of kite surfing instructor

i've found an instructor and a retailer. To get your gear, call William at x-scape on 2366 9293. The instructor, Sonny, is on 9436 0008. He doesn't rent equipment. The 1-day course is $2,400; if there are 2 students, the price drops to $1,900. Thanks to Patrick, Wakeboarding in Stanley on 2813 2372 for his assistance!

Hey, KIA, I may change my registered name to Finds It All!
