    Sports Bikes in HK?

    Hi

Currently not based in HK but possible relocation coming up - was wondering if can get a GSXR750 or R6 type of bike and where would be the closest place to do a track day?

Found almost nothing on motorbikes in HK so guessing that not so popular out there - any info on costs, good motorbike shops in HK would be much appreciated.

    Hello Morrinov,

here's a few links for some HK bike shops. the first is a dealer, the second is a general bike retail site with links to dealers etc.

    http://www.sbs-technology.com/index01.htm?

    http://www.ibike.com.hk/

as far as costs goes, annual licence fee for a bike is about 1300HKD. check http://www.td.gov.hk/public_services...rges/index.htm

no idea about tracks in HK though, sorry

    Hope this helps,

    DDF

    Hi,
The closest track is zhuhai, over the border, you have to rent bikes, can't run what ya brung. Other nearest are Malasian GP circuit and Thailand has a good one.
30 min session in Zhuhai run you about $1800hkd plus travel tickets and visa costs

DDF & Gweilo thanks for the posts now have a starting point

Given the trackday situation maybe a runabout makes more sense - hired bikes a tracks before and i'm just not a good enough rider to be able to get on a unfamiliar bike and cane it even if i have ridden the track b4. mibbe i need to think about pocket bikes and carparks on sunday afternoons....
