    aviation English test

    Dear all,

I know it sounds weird, but here it goes on behalf of the best of all boyfriends:
The CAD requires small operators/airlines to prove that their pilots are able to properly communicate with air traffic control. Most of those operators/airlines actually employ native english speakers as pilots - but still they need to be tested and certified in "aviation English"...
Does anybody know somebody who could conduct those kind of tests?

I hope KIA won't mind if I suggest that you ask this question on the specialist HK Fliers forum over at http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=100
That's where local pilots and ATCs hang out.

    Hi PDLM,

We approached moosep on pprune already. Pprune is really mostly ATC and pilots - not CAD related.

Doesn't [email protected] get a useful response?

Unfortunately not.... Hubby worked for the CAD a few years ago - thus has still several friends there... They won't nominate anybody, they only require the certification/test.
We tried several roads before I posted here.

    Hi KIA,

Yes, he did... As they don't start from CLK and are no professional operator they don't need the tests. He is asking the British Council now for recommendations (long shot I know) as all the aviation links don't seem to get him anywhere.

Thank you very much KIA. This is the road he didn't go yet - depite it being the obvious one when you think about it....
