It's true I swear. I own a beautiful plantation there but it is now sadly fallen into disrepair since they abolished slavery. Oh I remember the days sat on my verandah sipping cocktails while I flogged the maid mercilessly and the coq au rhum boiled on the open fire.

This thread is so amusing it seems churlish to actually respond but...
"Freetrader" probably is result of an actual belief in the benefits of free trade, encouraged, no doubt, from all those years of reading The Economist. It may also express a bit of a personal and political philisophy that is, on balance, somewhat libertarian. I've used the same username in various forums over the past 10 years.
