    Tai Long Wan Beach

Hello! I'm booking an overnight helicopter trip to Tai Long Wan beach in early August. Anyone have any experience/advice about the beach/area. I was planning on camping there. Any advice on surfboard rental near the area would be much appreciated too.
    Thank you so much.

Are you talking about Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung?

If you are than the surf beach is Tai Wan, that is the long beach, the main beach Ham Tin Wan, does not have a good surf. As for surf boards there is no where that would rent, most people bring their own for the day, so people actually rent a place to leave their boards from one of the restaurants, Hoi Fung.
How much does it cost to book a helicopter? and what is the logistics behind it?

    surf's down?

Unless there's an onshore wind (easterly or thereabouts - not so common in August I think), I doubt there'll be surf.
You could paddle about on the surfboards if it's calm I suppose; even so, be leery of currents.

'course if a tropical storm or typhoon's in vicinity, might be major surf rolling in. Not quite so fine for (romantic?) camping!
