    Weather

    Hi all,

I have moved a few months ago to HK. Everyone here said I was going to experience the best weather months (okt.nov.dec.) but I have to say that the last weeks it has not been that good. Reminded me actually of Holland and England only bit higher temperatures. Oktober was better but the pollution was terrible, have not seen a blue sky in months.
So is this rainy and cloudy weather normal for this time of the year? Why do people call this the best months? Is this because of the mild temperature?

It really should be colder than it is, this time of the year.

Smile No good weather in 2006?

Met 74, I have to totally agree with you! This weather sucks, I walked from LKF to Citibank Plaza just now and was sweating upon my arrival I had been hanging on to a few months of sweat-less existance (been here since Feb) as everyone has said how great nov/dec are...

A few people have told me it is usually quite a bit colder in Nov, as in you need sweaters/coats the whole deal, but maybe we shall see next year...

Frankly, I find that there are at most 5 days in any year when I would even consider wearing a light sweater in the evening in Hong Kong. But you do see locals get fur coats out if the temperature gets below 15 degrees! (yes, PLUS 15 degrees!)

yes, it was nice. I judge my day by whether I can see the mountains as I walk down to take my girl to school. the last few weeks has been a bit depressing with them just being covered in grey misty haze. Today I could actually tell they were green. And they stayed like that for most of the day.

wow. maybe they had a powercut in Southern China and the factories shut down.
