I learnt from tonight's news that there was gunning in Toronto hurting passersby, I think it's the 2nd time in one week. The last time we had gunning was more than 10 years ago.

the original thread is over 12 months old, but it is nice to dig these things up

HK safe? I wouldn't go anywhere without jackie chan in HK maaaaaate...

just kidding. most danger i have come across is from having your clothes pulled at by touts crying "%$&*^*&O watches..."

nice to see comments from Max and K'kid in this thread from way back then you 2 must be really getting on now, huh?

tired of hearing how dangerous western countries are and how safe it's in HK. wow, where was all this confidence when SARS broke out? suddenly those foregin devil passports were a real comfort, eh? hypocrisy.

yes, a bit drunk/hung over now but still...let's avoid the stereotypes ok?

Well, I just recalled another one in Luk Yu in Central a few years ago. But that was a murder and nobody else was hurt. The guns and gunmen all come from China.

    WOW!!!

Well, to me, Hong Kong is very very safe if you compare it to other countries, police rating is over 75% as reported on television...umm well, I guess some of the more disgusting cases in other countries might ahve just covered up and now showing it ot public, and since Hong Kong is a very small city, if a man got ran over by a car, it'll just be on the television in just a few seconds, but if that happens in other countries, the local police might very well just leave it as that...

There're many rumours around the world, and many of them sound as though they are very serious, while htey are not in reality.

Yes there was another person gunned down in Toronto on boxing day. An innocent bystander was shot and gunned down on a busy downtown street. Crime has been up in Toronto this year, it's quite scary with all the random shootings and all and gangster warfare. The politicians are afraid that T.DOT is becoming like another U.S. city (not saying that all U.S. cities are like this) with lots of guns and stuff. Still i think Toronto is a relatively safe city but not so if shootings keep on happening here. Peace out.

If you have to ask the price you probably can't afford it.

If you have to ask the question you probably won't like or enjoy it.
