    Traditional Christmas Dinner (English Traditional!)

    Hi,

No chance of getting to England for Christmas and wonder if anyone knows where in HK a family could get a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings?

Would love roast taties, pork in cola, turkey, etc, etc.

Please don't respond with why not cook yourself/your in HK, why not eat local and such blah, thanks.

Pork in Cola is literally that. Pork marinated or cooked in cola.

Can't say I've ever tried it though.

Well I guessed that, but there's no way that is part of a traditional English Christmas dinner!

It's pork, cooked in cola! PDLM, you disappoint me by not knowing this!

We have already had a thread on this, is that the royal 'we'!

Seriously though, get a gammon, bring it to the boil in a pot full of coke, then slowly simmer over four hours topping up with coke as necessary. Seriously, it is fantastic PDLM. I think I got the recipe from Nigella, lol!

Oh come on PDLM, let's have it from the font of all knowledge, what is a traditional Christmas dinner then? I mean, I'm sure you are an expert and I really can't wait to read further commentary from the bloody peanut gallery...

No way is cooking pork in cola "traditional" in England. You are obviously either an outright troll or a complete moron.

PDLM You obviously spend your whole time roaming around geoexpat looking for ways to nit pick or insult people, and you call me a troll. PDLM, you, YES YOU, by definition, are the troll and one of the worst trolls on these forums! All I want to do is find somewhere to take my family for Christmas dinner and surprise, surprise, up pops PDLM, with his irrelevant tuppence worth, just bugger off if you've nothing nice or constructive to say.
