    Photo Printing

I've been looking everywhere in Hong Kong to get high quality photos printed in A1 size but the few places I have found either will take too long or too expensive (i.e. fotomax) can anyone suggest anywhere else, maybe places that are not online?

Color Six on Stanley St no doubt do this - I've never used them for anything other than film prints in a reasonable size, but they're very good! Color Six

Well A1 size is big and just think that this would require manual processing. Have you thought about digital printing?

Virago - Screampeach is probably referring to digital printing (or photocopying) rather than handprinting.

No handprinter uses A1 notation for printing. We still use 12"x16" or 16"x20" notation.

As it is, hand-printing in Hong Kong is getting more difficult. It looks like ColorSix still do traditional R type prints from C41 process, as well as digital scanning onto Fujiflex (metallic) papers. The cost for printing digitally is cheaper if you can profile your own images (CMYK) and supply the digital file for printing, but the printing cost still works out around $150 for a simple 12" x 8" decent (not exhibition quality) print.

It seems like the OP is working to a budget, and if it's requesting cheaper than Fotomax, then it will be a problem in Hong Kong; most independent photoprocessors can only go up to 8R (8"x10") or 12R (12"x8") and then switch to a colour photocopying process, which is not true photographic reproduction.

Lunar, yes you are probably right but when the OP mentions 'high quality photo printed' I assumed photographic quality, not digital printing.
