I've been asked to be the best man for my friends wedding. Need Advice.

    At the wedding you may also have to stand in for the groom for the "yam sing". If you have 500 guests, assuming 12 a table, that's about 42 shots. Good luck!

    My wedding was pretty sane for most of the evening, but speaking from experience as well having heard some stories from family and friends, I would recommend;
    a) Don't 'pretend to have lost' the ring at the ceremony - you'll only upset two already nervous as hell people, and peeve off the priest/celebrant.
    b) Try to stay on the 'good' side of the bride ( note the above).
    c) If you have to make a speech, keep in clean humour, and don't mention past ex girlfriends/wives or any 'spicy' history you know about the groom ( or even the bride, if you do!)
    Lastly, if the Mother of the Groom or Bride makes an inebriated pass at you, act as if she actually is your mum.
