got scammed by one of these dude about 3-4 years ago by IFC. Did a trick on me about think of a number and then asked me to pick a folded piece of paper which indeed was the number I thought of.

Immediately thought this is some bad ju-ju and tried to make a run for it but to avoid a scene gave him a 100. See this Indian dude around IFC, CKC etc and whenever he tells me I have a lucky face I tell him he should see my arse !

But you walk round TST and they are out there and not being that agreeable. My experience only.

So my good for the day was escorted a little old lady (3ft tall with cane, and 90?) back to the ship yesterday - she was way confused. But you guess what nobody helped - HKGers, India or the marjority fo expats, or anybody else for that matter. But hey it's so good

Had one of these guys hold a piece of paper in front of him, and told me to think of my favourite colour. I said "Green." He said, "Okay, think of another colour."

Obviously his first day on the job.

Many married men here would concur with his assessment.

Obviously, the South Asians who are not scammers, drug dealers, and copy watch/suit touts are not standing on street corners, so you're not going to run into them there.

The other SA folks have no more control over them than I do (for example), as a white person, over the white-skinned dolt who, when asked on camera by a TVB News reporter a few days ago about his plans for the $HKD 6k govt handout, said that he was going to spend it all in LKF.

I had the same happen to meet at the same place. His answers were all correct on the papers. I told him I don't have any to give now and he smiled and just said thank you.

    It happened to me.

Both in HK and in Macau.

I was on a rush when I saw this man saying "you have a lucky face".
I was still walking, I gave a pat on his shoulder, said "Thank you" and kept walking.

For sure that day I had a "quiet face" because I tend to be rude with people trying to scam me.

Together with copy watch sellers and those offering suits, they are the reason why I avoid going TST If I can.

    My boss emptied his wallet

My boss at that time (10+ years ago) answered the door during lunch time (when all other staff out for lunch) and saw an Indian guy standing outside. Later when we got back, he told us he "unconsciously" gave all money "voluntarily" in his wallet to this Indian who rang the door bell and said something to him. He could not even remember what the guy said.
