Walk from Central Station underground following the signs for the Tung Chung Line until you are in Hong Kong Station (this is a 5-7 minute walk). Take Exit E1 (of Hong Kong Station, NOT Central Station) which comes up under IFC1. You are then basically at the bottom of the mid-levels escalator (there are signs just outside IFC1 on the highwalk on the side away from the harbour). Just follow the sequence of escalators and moving walkways uphill. You pass through SoHo and later Robinson Road. There are signs at every exit from the escalator.

Alternatively, you can exit at D2, walk towards LKF. Upon reaching Queen's Road, turn right on it and walk until you see an overheard pedestrian bridge. Before reaching the pedestrian bridge, you will see an escalator to your left (at 100 QRC), once you go up here, you will see the start of the walkalator.
