I think fancy fonts and layouts are great.... only as long as you actually designed and coded them yourselves.
On the other hand... it's much easier to be lazy and keep the plain white layout. It grows on you.
Hey - I am on myspace. It was quite addictive at the start and it's good to keep in touch with people you know around the world, but I haven't really had much time for it lately.
I joined it cos I am a big music fan and it's interesting to see all the bands etc on it and people with similar interests.
Never tried facebook - will check it out. A friend here in HK says Friendster is big but I haven't really gotten into that.
Hey,
Made a geoexpat group on facebook just so we can all kind of find each other. So many people I meet on geoexpat that I didn't get their username and even more I didn't get their real name esp last name.
So join it and that way everyone can kind of find each other, learn more about each other.
Good idea - so how do we find the facebook page?
I must admit that i am addicted to myspace and i fall into the under 30 catagory as well. what can i say it serves its purpose and helps me get through my culture shock.

there's plenty of hk related groups on facebook-
just do a network search on hong kong and profiles and groups will pop up
everything from those that live in midlevels to people who like octopus cards to lan kwai fongers...
