    Outdoor Pool

Looks like summer is here. If you have a outdoor pool at your clubhouse when are the management opening it for use?

Ok ....how about those pools that need Life Guards. Our Management are really dragging the chain.

Our pool has life guards. As noted, open all year except for a couple of weeks of maintenance.

Pretty much all pools in Hong Kong will have lifeguards. Usually the pool opening issue is related to management fees. In larger developments where the fees for the pool are spread amongst more owners they will generally keep the pool open for longer. The problem often is with smaller developments (single-tower, for example). In those the developer includes facilities in order to attract buyers when the development is launched. They also keep management fees low in order to attract buyers. When the majority of units have been sold the owners find that if they actually want to use the facilities the management fees will need to increase considerably so you end up with facilities that have limited opening times etc in order to avoid high management fees.

    That's my understanding anyway.
