    Legless Chair

Anywhere I can get a legless chair with armrests and possibly a detachable headrest?

I have tried a couple of japanese online stores which have superb specimens but are not geared for international orders.

Surely there must be others here who would like to sit on the floor in style.

Can't you just get a chair with legs and then cut the legs off?

I think I know the chair you are referring to, and I know I've seen bent-plywood version .... somewhere.

Sorry, not much help there. Have you tried the J-period section in Franc!Franc!, or ito futon on Wellington?

Ito Futon have a tolerable but overpriced chair [even with their special only one time 50% discount]

Anyone heading to Japan would would like to bring back one for me?

I would have one of each if only I had the space

Hey K, perhaps an alternative legless chair? - bean bag? They are more than stylish and comfortable at the near the floor sitting level that you're looking for.

Try Bean Bag City's range, there are all sorts here. www.slackbeanbags.com Anyway, just food for thoughts.

Thanks for all the varied suggestions and PMs [including a tip that I should look at the 'other' site] However all these are for lounging and relaxing-wheareas I am looking for chair for work, that keeps me from slouching.
Actually I'm surprised at the lack of choice here, in view of our low ceilings I would have thought many more people would prefer to be at floor level

Right now my best option seems to be to get a bentwood zaisu from Taiwan
