I caught the end of a tv program last night where the presenter was being shown around a 6,000 sq. ft apartment in Deep Water Bay. The owner paid HKD40Million for it in 2002 and I thought wow that's astronomical and no way in hell would I consider ever spending that much on a flat. Then the agent said the owner has it on the market today for HKD120Million!

What have I been doing wasting my time earning a living by going to work :-)

one of my old boss from the states used to live in DB and the house that the company rented for him was going for around 7M at that time, by the time my boss left the going price was around 15 M, he was saying that he should have just bought it and make a hell of a profit.

heh, I know someone who had a house built on Jardine's Lookout in the early 1900s for a song. They sold it for almost $100 million HK around '97.
