    Talking color symbolism hong kong

Color symbolism in HK would be largely Chinese color symbolism but there are big cultural differences between Guangdong and northern China.

Here is the color symbolism I have learned. Others may wish to fill out the list:

Red - good luck, stock market going up, money

white - the soul of the deceased on voyage to the afterlife.

yellow - the color of Chinese royal house.

    black ?

    purple ?

    blue ?

    orange ?

    green ?

These colors can be important for clothing, or for the type of stone one wears in a pendant or ring.

Green is not a good chinese colour in respect of
"wearing a green hat " means your wife is having sex with another man.

Green also has the meaning of peace.

Black is the same as white. Means death.

Blue and shades of it like purple is a " middle colour ". Neither bad or good.

    This from my Chinese wife.

You miss some important stuff here:

Red is the color for Happiness (think Chinese Wedding) it is also the classic color for Socialism/Communism (Red flag).
