Done that last nite. Actually, the shop assistant told me to call them and get mad with them. So i told them that I want to spend money with them and if in 2 days, they can't get back to me, I'm heading for the competitors. But hubby really wants his premier league....Maybe, might call them today again.

When you call them .... ask to speak to a supervisor. This usually motivates their Customer Service guys to pay a little bit more attention and fix your problem, in my little experience with them.

As KIA says, two decoder boxes essentially means you are buying two of everything - this is a streaming service, not a broadcast one. HOWEVER, if you don't have enough wires within your property to your apartment then that is going to be a bit of a show stopper, regardless of whether PCCW has enough capacity to the building.

Not bad...
Sunnie... if you're paying about HKD 600 a month over a 24-month period for 2 decoders, all channels and broadband internet... that's not bad at all. As PDLM says, you're getting two streams and that's the fact of life here in HKG when it comes to wanting watch TV in two rooms... which is ridiculous but reality. You might want to find out about how to use only one decoder box and share it between two TVs in an effort to cut down on the number of streams that your apt can handle. But that will create other tech issues... there's a thread on the tech forum that discusses it.
A few queries: 1) could you tell me what the name of the package was, if there was one, 2) do you know what speed they were offering for the broadband and 3) where did you go to negotiate the deal, because the telephone sales people I've spoken to are useless.
I am in DB but will head to HK Island tomorrow as I haven't seen any NOWtv people for the past week or so out here at the enclave. However I'm just dreading that the same will happen to me... after the effort to negotiate the package and only to find out later that my apartment is not wired to receive two NOW boxes and broadband. Aarrgh.
After last week's meltdown at IKEA's incompetence, I am barely ready for another war with minimum wage staffers who are hostage to their corporate's inefficient and illogical systems in the provision of (somewhat) essential services/product areas. Must go to bed early and rest up.

More to the point it will mean that the two TVs will only be able to show the same channel. The whole point of getting two decoders is to be able to watch different channels simultaneously on two TVs. If all you want is the same channel on two TVs then just get one decoder and work out how to get the signal to both TVs. This is not technically impossible. I don't see how any of this is ridiculous.

I guess I was referring to the fact that it's ridiculous for a company that offers a technical solution with such limitations to become the predominant content distributor when clearly the technology of coaxial cable is superior for end users in terms of flexibility of consumption. Perhaps I should have said "unfortunate" instead.
