    Hostels!!!!

So I need a place to stay for a few days when I arrive in HK before I (hopefully) find a flat. I had a look at some hostels on the net....seems like there is a few places in Causeway Bay (Noble Hostel, Sun Kong Hostel). But first hand experience would be great, so any particular recommendations?

Cheap, clean and relatively central is what Im after!

I think there's some in Tsim Sha Tsui, yeah yeah it's in Kowloon but you can always catch a 10 minute ferry ride to get across the harbor to get to Central.

Couple of friends came to town (June-July), and I had to look around for affordable places for them to stay, these are my findings:

    1. SUN KONG HOSTEL (My friends chose this!)
    TEL (ENGLISH): 9162 4664
    TEL: 2577 0283
    WEBSITE: http://www.sunkong.com.hk
ADDRESS: Flat C, 6/F, Block C, Paterson Building, 37 Paterson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Prices: $180 (Single room w/ shared bathroom), $280 (Single room w/ attached bathroom)
Others: $20 (refundable key deposit), clean sheets, toilettries provided, fridge, telephone, internet connection, english speaking receptionist, friendly, no hard sell
NOTE: If all their rooms are booked at Paterson Building, they would refer you to their other rooms in Hong Kong Mansions, equal standard, but if you're going on Sundays, your friends might have to pay HK$10 visitation fee, non-refundable. The Hostel would give you a resident card to avoid payment for yourself.

thanks for all the info.....(especially pebbleshk!). Yeah I read about Sung Kong Hostel....seems to be the best. Lonely Planet guide recommends Noble Hostel which is nearby I think. Any thoughts?
