Loose change

We have a bit of loose change - can you take it to the bank and cash it in (if so, does it have to be in bags?) or are there change machines? I know it's a dopey question, but hope someone can help. Cheers

Yes you can, but the bank may charge you - in fact they almost certainly will if it is not your bank, and they probably will if it is yours unless you have some status with them.
