yes and no, sharing the usefull info to other memebers and hope for the best plus help him increase his business (not that I gain anything) but this guy has been good and provided good service to me. Not much to compromise, he might get some spam calls but we get it all the time even without disclosing the our numbers.
Moving, you should wander around until you see one of these signs:
Or alternatively, get an iphone and there is an app in the Apple app store called "HK Cross Harbour Taxi Finder"
For what it's worth: taxi (not discount taxi) booking numbers: http://www.td.gov.hk/filemanager/en/...01105%29_e.pdf
Taxi stand locations (cross-harbour & normal identified): http://www.td.gov.hk/filemanager/en/...and%202011.xls
Thanks for the info guys. Could be useful if I keep hiking on hk island at night then going back to the office after .... Hk might make a night owl of me afterall!
And, if you're desperate, many taxi's will negotiate..
E.g. wave down a taxi, any taxi, approach the drivers window and tell him you want to go to the other side of the harbour, and say "one way tunnel charge" - depending on their mood/level of desperation for a fare, they may grant you your wish
As for discount taxis - does anyone have a reference for an english speaking taxi driver/taxi network controller that operates in the west N.T ? (I guess they mostly operate everywhere though)
I used to use Ricky as well....but we are not on good terms any longer
Feel free to send as PM if it suits better
West NT as in near Tuen Mun/ Gold Coast? I'd also be interested in that (with no prejudice to Ricky!).
