exchanging HKD to USD

Anyone have any tips on how to get the best rate when changing HKD back to USD? Thanks.

If you have a local account, the best rate is usually at your Bank.

If you don't .. try the money changer in Melbourne Plaza (Central) who runs the Western Union for pretty decent rates. Avoid the Thomas Cook counters.

You get even better rates if you have relatives or friends that work in banks...and they help you to exchange the money...provided that you trust them enough to put the money into their possession...
