No, a sub-20 would most likely be too fast - thanks for the vote of confidence though! I was thinking sub-24.

I do plan on joining quite a few of MrMin's training hikes though - trained with him on a few hikes before OTW and he gave me a lot of pointers/advice. He also pushed me beyond my comfort threshold and I was quite pleased with my progress. Not sure if I will be around for OTW next year. If I am around, I will try to secure a team via Meetup.

If you want to succeed on your resolution, you need to set things up so it goes your way.

My internet subscription is ending in 1.5 months. As I truly only need the net for 20 minutes / day to search out info at home, it'll help tremendously if I just rid my net connection and use the clubhouse's when I need them.

Not gonna mention my resolution, but will take this action to achieve whatever i have in mind.

ok, seriously, after Yesterday's online sesssion I have decided the following.
    a. no more than 3 posts a day on geoexpat
    b. no more replies to trivial threads or posts.
    c. cut my online time to 1/3 the usual amount.

To get a new resolution instead of keep repeating the same ones every year

I'm with you on this but failing in the last 5 days....

I've joined 2 other forums and not looking good.

I will write down my list:-

Learn 2,134 Chinese characters by mid year.
Become intermediate Mandarin by mid year.
Start new business then hand it over by end of year.
No more than 1 hour a day online (news, forums etc)
Write this list (and whatever else I come up with everyday for a year)

Um...2134? Not 2133? or 2135? (and so on) Why that figure?
