    H2G2 The Tertiary Phase

    Twenty-five years after the original radio series of Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy exploded into the public consciousness, the further exploits of its bewildered hero, Arthur Dent, are being brought to life in their original medium and with the (mainly) original cast.

    The last three books of the ‘trilogy in five parts’, Life, The Universe And Everything; So Long And Thanks For All The Fish and Mostly Harmless, have been dramatised as two new series (none of them were previously produced for radio).

    As the original two series were dubbed the Primary and Secondary Phases by Douglas Adams, these new series form the Tertiary, Quadrenary and Quintessential Phases.

    Thanks to the wonders of digital technology, Douglas Adams himself can be heard playing the part of Agrajag.

    Does anyone know where to get a good Pan-Galactic GargleBlaster in Hong Kong?

    Or, for that matter, can one find an approximation to Eccentrica Galumbits in Wanchai?

    Ein fruchtiger, recht starker Longdrink
    In Anlehnung an das Rezept von Douglas Adams' Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis, habe ich zusammen mit ein paar netten Leuten nach einer Prüfung in Freising diesen Cocktail erfunden. Das Schwierigste war einen Cocktail zu erschaffen, der des Namens würdig ist. Nach einigen Versuchen kam dieses Rezept heraus.


    Zutaten:

    6clWodka 2clGin 2clbrauner Rum 3clLitchilikör 2clMidori Melon 1Dashhochprozentiger Rum 4clAnanassaft 4clGrapefruitsaft 2clZitronensaft 2DashesGrenadine 1MspGuaranapulver Dekoration:

    1Pitahaya 1ScheibeKarambole 1Orangenschale Zubereitung:

    Die Zutaten, außer der Grenadine, werden zusammen mit drei bis vier Eiswürfeln im Shaker geschüttelt, bis die Eiswürfel sich aufgelöst haben. Danach füllt man den Drink in eine Cocktailschale. Die Pitahaya (sprich: Pitachaja) schält man und schneidet das Fruchtfleisch in Pyramidenform. Die Pyramide gibt man ins Glas, bevor der Drink hineingeschüttet wird. Die Karambolenscheibe hängt man an den Glasrand. Über das Glas legt man zum Schluß eine Spirale aus der Orangenschale.


    Kommentare:

    Ursprünglich wurde statt des Midori Melonenlikörs ein Kaktusfeigenlikör verwendet.
    Leider wird dieser seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr hergestellt. Daher die Änderung.

    Wenn man irgendwie an Kaktusfeigenlikör herankommt, sollte man den verwenden.

    Following the prescription of Douglas of Adam ' by hitchhikers by the galaxy, I have together with a few nice people after an examination in freesing this cocktail invented. The most difficult was to be created a cocktail, which is worthy of the name. After some attempts this prescription came out.


    Added:

    Those added, except the Grenadine, together with three to four ice cubes in the Shaker are vibrated, until the ice cubes dissolved. Afterwards one fills the drink into a Cocktailschale. The Pitahaya (speak: one peels and cuts Pitachaja the fruchtfleisch in pyramid form. One gives the pyramid to the glass, before the drink is in-poured. One hangs the Karambolenscheibe to the edge of glass. Over the glass one puts a spiral from the orange bowl end the conclusion.

    Comments:

    Originally instead of the Midori Melonenlikoers a Kaktusfeigenlikoer one used.
    Unfortunately for some time is not this no more manufactured. Therefore the change.

    If one approaches somehow at Kaktusfeigenlikoer, one should use that.
