Another vote for Fawlty Towers. I grew up watching that on PBS in the USA and loved it.

It's alsmost a cliche now but I still cannot believe there were only 12 episodes...

Has anyone watched "The Trip" with Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon?

Unusual concept but a good 'Sunday afternoon on the sofa' type film to watch.

Yes but, and I'm going to put on the rose tinted glasses now, tv was so much better when there were only a couple of channels.

I guess I watch less than a couple of hours a week these days and most of that is CBeebies or the news.

Back in those days you could enjoy a good few hours, good comedy and good drama; The Professionals, Minder, The Onedin Kine and so on. Modern british TV still hits the mark sometimes; Keeping up Appearances, The Office.... Generally speaking though, these days it's a load of old bollocks imported from the US....

I guess I'm in the same age bracket as BE and Virgin and I've found that I'll watch a whole film, that is on scheduled TV, that I would never bother to sit down and watch on DVD.

    Anyone else?
