Accommodation options – One night for family with four kids

I have found two options for a family with four kids (14,12,9, and 2) in TST. They are transiting through Hong Kong.

Hotel Bonito for $1590 HKD for one room, two queen size beds and Holiday Inn – Golden Mile two rooms for $3,600 HKD.

It is for just one night and Kowloon or NT is preferred.

Has anyone stayed at the Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Centre or Lady MacLehose Holiday Village?

    Any other options?

    Thanks

    they could try:

    novotel in tung chung
    regal riverside in shatin
park royal (or is it royal park) or garden... dang i can't remember the name of the hotel... in shatin
    rambler hotel in tsing yi
    disneyland hotels on lantau
    silvermine hotel in mui wo
    panda hotel in tsuen wan

those are just a few... the problem is that with so many kids, they will likely need 2 rooms or a suite (which would be much more expensive)

Apt5: Mong Kok MTR 2BRS fit 6ppl in Tsim Sha Tsui
Family friendly unit for 4 or more! in Tsim Sha Tsui
Both have minimums of more than 1 night but I expect the owners would be glad to negotiate given a few extra $$
There are many more to wade thru - I just picked 2 that looked decent.

Also try YWCA hotel on corner Garden and Macdonnell Rds. It's very close to central, HK botanical and zoo gardens plus bus or walk down.

I have had friends with a couple of children stay here (YMCA Salisbury) and they said it was perfect for them. That was about three years ago but probably still good for a family.

The places you mentioned - Lady Maclehose holiday village and the one in Sai Kung are REALLY hard to get to - about as far away from the airport and central as it's possible to get. They are intended for longer "get away from it all and see nature" trips, not a one-night stay over. You'd spend all your time traveling to/from them.

Good places to search are wotif.com (or tripadvisor.com for descriptions) to find places here. I would suggest trying the Silvermine Beach hotel in Mui Wo - it's not too far from the airport, cheap and nice location by a beach. You can catch the ferry to Central to look around.
